Confocal Imaging/Metrology
Experts in the design and development of confocal imaging and
metrology systems. Systems developed for imaging in biomedical
and industrial fields. Confocal systems also developed for non-imaging
3D metrology applications.
FTIR Spectroscopy
Expertise in FTIR systems and accessories for on-line applications
such as agricultural quality control and open path chemical detection.
Experience with Portable FTIR systems and applications. Custom
systems and accessories developed on request.
Laser Scanning
Highly experienced designing laser scanning systems for a variety
of applications including film imaging, materials testing, confocal
microscopy, industrial sensors, and 3D dental imaging.
Machine vision systems and software:
Expertise with current ccd and cmos sensor and camera technology.
Familiar with standard and non-standard camera interfaces including
LVDS, Cameralink, IEEE-1394(firewire), USB.
Skilled in image processing, using both standard packages such
as the Matrox Image Library, IRAF, Photoshop, ImageJ, and writing
custom image processing functions in C++ and C#.
3D Imaging
Experts in 3D imaging including optical design and image processing
methodologies. Experience developing interferometry, confocal,
moire', and laser triangulation 3D systems and sensors.
Photonics
Knowledge of fiber optic systems and components including loss
measurements, connector testing, photonics component testing,
polarization measurements, environmental. Design of photonics
components for automation. Experience with mechanisms for adhering
optical components, such as mechanical means, epoxies (both heat
and UV cured), solder, and welding.
Imaging Systems:
We have developed both high performance and low cost imaging
systems for applications such as mechanical part metrology and
dental imaging.
Illumination:
Illumination systems designed for industrial sensors, machine
vision systems, and endoscopy systems. Systems designed using
custom LED illumination and fiber/endoscope delivery. Custom LED
driver design capability.
Manufacturing:
Experienced developing manufacturing automation systems for
optical and electronic systems. Systems always designed for manufacturability
and automation compatibility.
Skilled at developing manufacturable systems for the lowest
possible cost.
Other:
We also have experience in spectroscopy, thin film deposition
(ion beam sputtering), vacuum chamber design and assembly.
